Thermoforming Setup Tech, Tooling

D&W Fine Pack, a Mid Oaks Investments portfolio company, provides a wide range of products serving the food service and food packaging industry.

We have an immediate opportunity for a Tooling & Set up Technician-1 . In this role, you will perform basic setup and / or maintenance of tooling and equipment to support manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Follow plant safety procedures and guidelines.
• Know emergency procedures and respond appropriately in cases of power outages, machine failures, workplace injuries, etc.
• Wear and utilize personal protective equipment (PPE) as required.
• Understand and implement Lock-out / Tag-out procedures.
• Report safety issues and workplace injuries or incidents immediately to your supervisor.
• Examine products to verify conformance to quality standards.
• Maintain a neat and organized workstation.
• Complete all required documentation accurately.
• Assist other workers with specific chores as needed.
• Follow plant quality practices, including Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).
• Insert and remove molds and / or dies as required.
• Prepare molds and dies for use, including trimming.
• Inspect and clean molds, then return them to storage racks.
• Perform tool changes and make final adjustments.
• Perform basic troubleshooting and adjustments to resolve processing problems.
