Engineering Technician 4

We are seeking a highly skilled Engineering Technician for a temp-to-hire position. Candidates must be located within 50 miles of any BV office. Hybrid or flexible work options may be offered after the first 90 days of employment based on manager discretion, job performance, and work assignments.

Responsibilities

• Function in a senior-level engineering technician capacity with minimal supervision.
• Perform advanced functions requiring knowledge and use of electronic applications, standards, and document control processes / procedures.
• Provide technical guidance and direction to other engineering professionals, including delegation of work assignments.
• Apply knowledge of engineering standards, systems, document control, departmental guides, applicable codes, and policies and procedures.
• Proactively apply knowledge of the Quality Program relative to deliverables, demonstrating personal accuracy and supporting continuous improvement and change management efforts.
• Review design inputs to ensure consistency and compliance with specific codes and standards suitable for the project.
• Broaden the use of applications to continuously evaluate and improve methods, processes, and procedures used to accomplish deliverables.
• Create and develop deliverables based on a variety of design inputs, and may develop less complex design concepts.
• Coordinate deliverables with other groups involved on the same project to minimize interference or errors.
• Support field activities and may be responsible for project finalization, including consolidation of records for as-built drawings.
• Focus on the needs of internal clients while gaining an understanding of external clients' main interests and drivers.
• Proactively seek and share knowledge of the latest technologies and processes.
• Provide work direction and guidance to others, including supervision, career development, developing professionals, and mentoring.
