Job description

American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Labor and Delivery for a travel nursing job in Sioux City, Iowa.

Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a high-volume Labor & Delivery position requiring strong clinical skills and high-risk experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work in a busy Labor & Delivery unit with 160-180 deliveries per month
  • High-risk patient population with large numbers of non-English speaking patients
  • Nurses perform significant triage and assessments due to limited on-site physician presence
  • Epic EMR system is used
  • Circulating experience required; scrub experience is an asset
  • Nurses are responsible for triaging and assessing patients prior to physician involvement
  • Must be able to provide quality care for high-acuity, high-risk deliveries
  • Winter holiday coverage requires working 2 of 3 holidays : Christmas, New Year's, or Thanksgiving
  • Only 1 day off may be requested between 11 / 26 / 25-11 / 30 / 25 and 12 / 23 / 25-1 / 2 / 26
  • Must provide references if not already on file during onboarding

    • Requirements

  • Active IA or compact RN license required at time of consideration
  • Current BLS (AHA), ACLS (AHA), NRP, and AWHONN certifications required
  • Minimum 2 years recent L&D experience required
  • High-risk Labor & Delivery experience required
  • Must have experience within the past year at high-volume delivery centers (200-300 deliveries / month preferred)
  • Epic Stork experience preferred
  • Multiple completed travel contracts encouraged
