Specialty Court Coordinator
Reporting directly to all District Judges presiding over each specialty court and the Director of District Court Administration, responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the specialty courts and programs, including policy and procedure development, program execution, data collection, and fiscal monitoring, and provides service coordination and comprehensive case management to participants involved in the District Court specialty courts and programs. The specialty courts seek to bridge the gap between program participants and program partners and stakeholders, which include mental healthcare and substance abuse treatment providers, the court, attorneys, and other non-governmental parties, working together as a team to increase successful case outcomes and reduce recidivism.
Examples Of Work Performed
- Supervises personnel as requested by a particular judge
- Provides supervisory and clinical oversight of case managers
- Provides supervisory oversight of intern students placed in the specialty court programs and collaborates with various universities across the State of Texas and the country to ensure identified candidates are provided with proper supervision, tasks, and experiences
- Serves as liaison with law enforcement agencies, other government agencies, non-government agencies that have a direct or indirect impact on the functioning of the Court as a positive force within the community
- Manages and prepares exit survey data
- Identifies and manages grant resources, including grant writing, data collection, analysis, and reporting
- Maintains the Datagain (DIMS) database on behalf of all specialty courts and provides technical assistance and reports for users on system
- Manages program operations; establishes procedures and priorities and monitors activities and assignments
- Performs statistical analysis of specialty court programs and develops reports and recommendations for action; collaborates with local university research teams to impart best practices on various programs
- Attends and / or presents at community events, conferences, and other continued learning events
- Represents the organization and collaborates with governmental and public agency representatives, community outreach and advocacy groups, service providers, and others; plans, develops, and directs a variety of community development and community organizing activities
- Identifies and resolves service gaps and barriers, stimulates interest in programs and services
- Manages the development and execution of programs, policies, and procedures
- Meets and coordinates with specialty court teams and judges regarding program direction, goals, and needs
- Manages billing, budget construction and management, and reconciliation
- Organizes training and in-services for specialty court teams
- Manages the specialty court programs and personnel to ensure participants are provided with person-centered coordination of care and case management services to participants
- Applies current applicable laws and regulations; maintains professional levels of communication with internal and external contacts
- Provides oversight to programs to target and procure funding streams for placement and other tools utilized by the courts for supervision
- Performs special duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Social Work, or a related field and four (4) years of related experience to include program development and management, case management, grant management, community collaboration, and / or criminal justiceWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office SuitePreferred Qualifications
Master's degree in a related fieldExperience with administering State Grant programsTraining in Trust Based Relational Intervention and Trauma Informed intervention practicesLicensure as LCDC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or another related fieldBilingual (Spanish)Employment Testing
