Job descriptionWork in the PACU of a Level II Trauma Center hospital environment Patient ratio is 1 : 2 in the PACU setting Variable start times available between 9 : 00 am and 12 : 30 pm Schedule is 4x10 hour day shifts, 9 : 00 am to 7 : 30 pm On-call required 4-6 nights in a 6-week period (Monday-Friday 11 pm–7 am, weekends 7 am–7 pm or 7 pm–7 am), approximately 1 weekend / month Expected to work every other weekend or a total of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule Floating required to all four hospitals in the system with a home base assigned Rotation to phase II PACU outpatient discharge as needed Uses SCM documentation system Responsibilities include patient recovery, monitoring and titrating drips, and supporting outpatient PACU discharge as needed No restrictions for local travelers; local candidates accepted at the same rate Any solid color scrubs may be worn, but top and bottom must match, with no logos or prints permitted Mandatory participation in holiday and hurricane coverage as per hospital policy Free parking provided with decal received at orientation All finalized time off requests must be declared prior to offer; additional requests not accepted post-offer Employees or travelers are eligible only if at least 1 year has passed since ending a prior internal contracted position Orientation to timekeeping and hospital systems provided at start Active FL or compact state RN license required at the time of consideration Minimum 1 year of recent PACU RN experience Level II Trauma Center experience required Proficiency in titrating drips and advanced PACU neurological and cardiovascular care Certifications required : ACLS, BLS, PALS, and NIHSS Must provide 2 references from supervisors, managers, charge nurses, or directors within the last year Flu vaccine required between 10 / 31 and 3 / 31 (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Must reside within 30 minutes of the hospital for call requirements Completion of a skills checklist and verification through NURSYS / BON High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts
