Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and skilled Engineering Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and connector pin-outs. You will be responsible for building various types of wires and wire harnesses and will work independently as well as collaboratively to ensure project success.

Responsibilities

Read and interpret engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and connector pin-outs.

Build various types of wires and wire harnesses by laying out wires, crimping, soldering, and populating various connectors.

Work independently and within a team to ensure project timelines are met.

Identify and resolve issues early to guarantee a quality product.

Use tools to assemble electronic and mechanical assemblies proficiently.

Demonstrate proficiency with soldering best practices.

Assist in the development of design documentation, including manufacturing drawings, assembly, test, and evaluation protocols.

Essential Skills

Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings, wiring diagrams, wire lists, and connector pin-outs.

Experience with prototype development, soldering, and CAD software.

Understanding of IPC-A-620 wire and cable requirements and J-STD-001 soldering requirements.

2+ years of hands-on, real-world experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

An associate degree in Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

Knowledge of IPC standards is a plus.

Work Environment

The position offers a small team environment consisting of about 16 employees in an engineering / lab setting. Enjoy flexible work hours and the opportunity to work directly with engineering to enhance skills, particularly in CAD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $32.00 / hr.
