Overview
We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Head of Demand Generation, Americas to drive marketing strategy and execution across the region. This role is essential to building brand awareness, generating demand, and accelerating pipeline growth for Benchling’s solutions. You will develop and lead integrated marketing programs—spanning field marketing, regional campaigns, digital tactics, and more—that align with regional sales objectives and drive measurable business outcomes.
As a player-coach , you will lead and mentor a high-performing team while also being hands-on in executing key initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong track record in demand generation and field marketing within enterprise B2B SaaS, along with experience managing and developing teams. You thrive in a fast-paced environment, applying a data-driven approach to decision-making and being a trusted partner to Sales, SDRs, Customer Success, and the broader marketing organization to drive business outcomes.
This is a hybrid in-office role at our San Francisco headquarters.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive regional marketing strategy to drive awareness, engagement, and pipeline growth across AMERS and across segments with a focus on Enterprise.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a regional marketing team, instilling a high-performance, metrics-driven culture.
- Drive execution of multi-channel campaigns across digital, OOH, tradeshows, owned events, webinars, and partner channels to support pipeline goals.
- Establish processes to drive and measure a repeatable, scalable and predictable demand generation machine, analyzing campaigns and sharing data-driven insights to stakeholders.
- Plan and manage field marketing programs such as events, executive roundtables, and trade shows, ensuring alignment with personas and regional objectives.
- Own the marketing relationship with sales leaders, ensuring seamless collaboration and communication to drive shared pipeline and revenue targets.
- Oversee and manage the regional field marketing budget, ensuring investments align with business priorities and deliver measurable results and business impact.
Qualifications
10+ years of experience in demand generation, field marketing, or integrated marketing within a B2B SaaS technology company (life sciences experience not required but desirable).Proven ability to plan and execute full-funnel marketing programs, combining PLG, field, digital, and partner marketing.Demonstrated leadership experience, with at least 6 years of people management - managing, mentoring, and developing high-performing teams.Deep understanding of sales cycles, pipeline dynamics, and buyer journeys in complex enterprise environments. Significant experience in collaborating with sales leaders and teams to drive joint success.Strong analytical mindset with experience using marketing performance data to drive optimization and growth.Proficiency in marketing automation and CRM platforms such as Salesforce, Marketo, and related analytics tools. Demonstrated ability in leveraging new AI tools to drive growth.Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to execute campaigns while managing multiple stakeholders and priorities.Experience managing marketing budgets and optimizing spend for maximum impact.Bachelor’s degree. MBA is a plus.How We Work
Flexible Hybrid Work : We offer a flexible hybrid work arrangement that prioritizes in-office collaboration. Employees are expected to be on-site 3 days per week (Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday).
Compensation
Salary range : base salary $185,000 – $275,000. Total Compensation includes a competitive rewards package and a broad range of benefits as outlined by Benchling.
