About the Position :
Discovery Kids is looking for a dedicated and passionate Early Preschool Teacher to work with our mixed-age group of 2- and 3-year-olds. This role is perfect for an energetic, caring, and creative educator who is committed to fostering a warm, loving, and developmentally appropriate learning environment.
Starting Wage :
- $15.00 per hour, with room for negotiation based on certifications, experience, and performance. Opportunities for raises are available!
Qualifications & Requirements :
Childcare experience required (preferably with toddlers or early preschoolers).High school diploma or equivalent (required).Early childhood education coursework or CDA credential (preferred).Pediatric CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).Food handler certification (or willingness to obtain).Must be at least 18 years old.Key Responsibilities :
Build strong, trusting relationships with children by creating a nurturing and safe environment.Provide engaging learning experiences that foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.Prepare and maintain the classroom environment, ensuring it is stimulating, clean, and age-appropriate.Observe, assess, and adapt lessons to meet each child’s developmental needs.Commit to ongoing learning and professional growth, staying up to date with best practices in early childhood education.What We Look for in a Teacher :
