The Texas Commission on Fire Protection (TCFP) is seeking a highly organized and communicative individual to join our curriculum team. This role supports the development and maintenance of fire protection training content in coordination with subject matter experts.
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented collaborator who excels at managing documentation, tracking workflows, and facilitating meetings.
Essential Job Functions
- Coordinate and schedule meetings with subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Record and maintain documentation related to curriculum development projects.
- Manage shared drives, files, and data logs to ensure accessibility and accuracy.
- Track task completion and communicate deadlines and updates to relevant team members.
- Support internal teams with research, formatting, and document preparation.
- Assist with the review and organization of educational content and related materials.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Maintain regular commute to work.
Minimum Qualifications
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.Computer literate with the ability to learn new software tools quickly.Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Experience maintaining databases or structured digital files.Experience working with committees, boards, or commissions subject to the Open Meetings Act, including working knowledge of complying with the Open Meetings Act.Preferred Qualifications
Experience with state agencies or curriculum-related work.Familiarity with the Open Meetings Act.Knowledge of collaborative tools such as SharePoint or cloud-based file systems.Previous experience managing records, agendas, or formal meeting documentation of a governmental organization.Benefits
