About The Position

Job Title : Registered Nurse

Hours per Shift : 36 hours per week

Experience : Minimum of 2 years in Emergency Room / Trauma

License : Valid RN license required

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, PALS required

Must-Have : Moderate conscious sedation competency testing

Description :

This position is for an Emergency Room Registered Nurse.

Candidates must possess a minimum of 2 years of ER / Trauma experience.

The unit has a total of 31 beds.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3-4.

There is a requirement to work every other weekend and two of the three major holidays during the holiday season.

Flexibility for varying shift start times is necessary.

The department has both day and night shifts with different start times.

Assessment of patients will include common diagnoses such as motor vehicle accidents, gunshot wounds, strokes, myocardial infarctions, and high-risk obstetrics cases.

Only patients aged 15 and younger will be stabilized and transferred to appropriate facilities.

The charting system in use is Cerner.

There will be a requirement to float between different emergency room locations.

Candidates must have certifications in BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
