The Rockefeller University is a world-renowned center for research and education in biomedical sciences. The Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) team develops the University's overall communications strategy and messaging, and is responsible for a number of print and electronic publications, the external website, media relations, social media, public events, and more.
Overview
The Rockefeller University seeks an organized, proactive, and detail-oriented Communications Coordinator to join its Communications and Public Affairs (CPA) team. This role provides administrative support to ensure the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of a fast-paced department responsible for advancing the university's brand, media relations, and internal and external communications. The Communications Coordinator will also assist as needed with project management, social media, editing / proofing and other duties.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :
A bachelor's degree is required; must possess a minimum of two (2) years of relevant administrative experience, preferably in a communications, public affairs, higher education, or nonprofit environment.
The ideal candidate has exceptional organizational skills and a high level of attention to detail, possesses strong written and verbal communication skills.
Able to prioritize multiple tasks in a deadline-driven environment.
High level of discretion and professionalism when handling sensitive information.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) and experienced with collaboration platforms such as Zoom, Slack, or Microsoft Teams.

The salary of the finalist selected for this role will be set based on various factors, including but not limited to organizational budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, and training. The hiring range provided represents The Rockefeller University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
