Role Overview
As a Professional Engineer / Project Manager for Site Development, you will be responsible for managing a variety of projects from inception to completion, ensuring quality and client satisfaction.
Core Responsibilities
- Develop project work plans and scopes of work.
- Oversee project schedules and monitor progress.
- Prepare fee proposals, manage budgets, and handle invoicing.
- Design roadway, grading, drainage, water, and sewer plans using AutoCAD and Civil 3D.
- Produce technical memoranda, plans, specifications, and reports.
- Ensure quality assurance on project deliverables.
- Handle permitting processes and prepare supporting calculations.
- Develop construction cost estimates and manage project stages from due diligence to bidding.
- Manage private client development and redevelopment projects.
- Collaborate with other practice leaders on multidisciplinary pursuits.
- Maintain effective communication with clients and teams.
- Provide technical reports and presentations.
- Supervise construction observation and coordinate with contractors.
- Optimize staff deployment for productivity and profitability.
- Conduct regular project meetings to align resources and needs.
Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor's or master's degree in civil engineering.PE license or ability to obtain within a year.15-20 years of civil design experience, including drainage, utility, roadway, and development design.Strong project management and leadership skills.Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, StormCAD, WaterCAD, HEC-RAS, SWMM, and related software.Experience with municipal and private clients and understanding of relevant policies.Excellent communication, team-building, and organizational skills.Benefits
