The LaSalle Street Cable Car Powerhouse is a beautiful, designated landmark, initially opened in 1887, in the heyday of Chicago’s cable car system.
We intend to do it justice by restoring the original features to their former glory and, at the same time, breathe new life into the space.
Reporting to the Bar Manager, we’re looking for a brand-new Assistant Bar Manager to join our team and open our second international restaurant in Chicago.
This role will ensure beverage consistency, quality and will be instrumental in providing world class bar service. Premium cocktail experience alongside managing a large team with a high volume of guests will be ideal.

Key responsibilities of the role include :
- Leading the bar team with excellent service and hospitality to the Hawksmoor standard.
- Ability to motivate, train, teach, guide and nurture the bartenders and barbacks
- Excellent rapport with your team and guests.
- Stock takes, ordering and general operational duties
To be considered for the role you will have :
- Extensive experience running some of the top bars in Chicago
- Comfortable and experienced with high volume businesses in terms of both covers and revenue.
- Excellent management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to create an incredible culture and work ethic within your team.
- Top management and interpersonal skills and ability to work harmoniously with all departments.
- Exemplary product knowledge of food and beverage.
- Excellent leadership skills with ability to teach, coach and train your team.
