Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Behavioral Med Surg unit requiring both psychiatric and medical-surgical expertise with rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

  • Position is in an acute care hospital on the 5B Med Specialty Behavioral Unit
  • Cares for both behavioral health and medical-surgical adult patients
  • Level II trauma center environment
  • Shift schedule is day / night rotating 12-hour shifts
  • Every other weekend and holiday shifts required
  • Uses EPIC EMR system
  • Must be able to provide care for a diverse patient population with both behavioral and medical needs
  • Orientation consists of 8 hours
  • Holiday and weekend shift coverage is expected
  • Candidates with prior employment at Sanford Health locations must disclose this for DNU review
  • A reduced pay rate applies for local candidates residing within 80 miles of the facility

    • Requirements

  • Active ND or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years of RN experience
  • Current BLS certification required
  • Dual experience in both psychiatric and medical-surgical nursing required
