Description
As a Mechanical Technician II, you will be responsible for maintaining and ensuring the safe, efficient, and reliable operation of compressor station systems supporting natural gas delivery. This is a hands-on role involving inspection, troubleshooting, and repair of complex mechanical systems.
Key Responsibilities :
- Operate, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair air systems, fuel systems, cooling systems, gas compressors, and related equipment
- Monitor system pressures and alarm set points; respond to abnormal conditions
- Perform start-up, shutdown, and operational checks of turbine / compressor packages
- Maintain accurate maintenance records and documentation
- Adhere to PHMSA, EPA, and company safety and compliance regulations
- Interpret technical drawings and participate in design reviews
- Support team projects and contribute to a collaborative work culture
- Perform physically demanding work in varying weather conditions
Basic Qualifications :
High school diploma or equivalentMinimum 2 years of directly relevant experienceValid driver's license and residence within 30 miles of the siteAbility to work weekends, overtime, on-call, and overnight as neededPhysically capable of labor-intensive tasks in various weather conditionsDesired Skills & Attributes :
Willingness to learn and grow in a technician roleExperience with pipeline or compressor station maintenanceKnowledge of DCS, PLCs, and mechanical instrumentationFamiliarity with brands such as Rosemount, Honeywell, Thermo Scientific, and YokogawaStrong communication skills and proficiency with standard office softwareTeam player with integrity, accountability, and a focus on safety
