Computer Operations
Computer Operations is a 24 / 7 / 365 operation. Associates must be willing and able to work rotating days off and / or non-standard work shifts, including evenings, overnight, holidays, and weekends. This position is for 3rd shift working 12 : 00am 8 : 30am.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Support all enterprise systems, performing system monitoring, troubleshooting, escalation, and issue resolution
- Ensure all jobs on the iSeries run in a timely manner, perform troubleshooting and follow established escalation procedures
- Initiate and monitor tasks related to daily run sheets, and job processing schedules
- Responsible for monitoring, coordinating, documenting and tracking system backups
- Manage and control all access to the Data Center suite to ensure the integrity of the facility while allowing maintenance and upgrades to be completed
- Monitor environmental systems within the Network Operations Center and Data Centers
- Manage Incidents and Service Requests via ServiceNow to ensure service level agreements (SLA) are met
- Perform user provisioning and de-provisioning tasks per approved requests
- Provide support to users and remote distribution centers
- Create and maintain technical documentation, policies, and procedures
- Assist in the installation and decommissioning of data center network and server hardware
- Other tasks as assigned
Other Responsibilities :
Placing service calls / ticket with support vendors for data center equipment (HVAC, UPS, Generator) and PC / Server hardwareAssist Data Center Operations Manager with special projects that may be assignedRequired shift work and weekends. Willing to work overtime as required. Must be flexible to take on additional shifts when necessaryMinimum Qualifications :
