American Traveler is hiring an Occupational Therapist for inpatient rehab with a minimum of 18 months acute hospital experience and current BLS certification.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in an acute inpatient rehabilitation setting within a hospitalDay shift schedule Monday through Friday, with one weekend day per month requiredCare for patients across all levels of acuity including ICU and progressive care, with diagnoses such as CABG, stroke, TBI, joint replacements, respiratory illnesses, and neurological conditionsMember of a multidisciplinary rehab team of 19 professionalsUse of Cerner EMR for chartingFloating is required within the hospital and to nearby affiliate hospitalsOT is responsible for evaluation, plan of care development, ADL training, therapeutic exercise, and daily assessment of discharge dispositionMust be able to work independently and collaboratively with a large rehab teamFirst-time travelers are welcomeAny previous perm or PRN employee must be away for 12 months before reapplying as a travelerCandidates must work 2 out of 3 major holidaysUp to 5 days of non-holiday RTO can be auto-approved; additional time off requires approvalScrubs must be royal blue and worn with black shoes\n \n Requirements\n
Current, active Occupational Therapist license in IN or Compact state; license required if applicableMinimum 18 months of recent acute hospital OT experienceCurrent BLS certification (AHA or RQI accepted)Graduation from a university accredited by ACEN or CCNENBCOT certification requiredManual Therapy and Lymphedema certifications preferredCerner charting experience preferred\n Benefits\n
