Position Title : VMware Systems Administrator

Location : Quantico, VA

Clearance Requirements : Top Secret

Position Status : Full Time, Contract

Pay Rate : $40-$50 / Hr.

Position Description :

Seneca Resources is seeking a VMware Systems Administrator to support and manage a high-availability, virtualized Microsoft enterprise environment . The ideal candidate is a proactive, detail-oriented professional who thrives in dynamic technical environments and enjoys solving complex system challenges.

In this role, you'll ensure the stability, performance, and security of virtualized server infrastructure by performing system monitoring, maintenance, and optimization tasks. You'll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to resolve incidents, improve operational efficiency, and maintain compliance with organizational standards and security protocols.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage and maintain a virtualized Microsoft server environment leveraging VMware technologies.
• Perform daily system checks , monitor system health, and respond to performance events using various management tools.
• Conduct server patch management and apply system updates in accordance with established procedures.
• Notify stakeholders of any issues impacting system performance and assist with root-cause analysis.
• Perform system audits, maintenance, and health checks to ensure optimal functionality and security compliance.
• Coordinate with other IT teams to resolve infrastructure-related incidents and service disruptions.
• Adhere to change control , configuration management, and security standards.
• Utilize remote server management tools for system administration and troubleshooting.
• Support and maintain Active Directory (AD) , DNS , DHCP , and clustering configurations.
