Power BI Report Server Administrator

Job Summary :

The Power BI Report Server Administrator will be the primary point of contact for vulnerability-related findings, responsible for reviewing security reports, coordinating with IT, and ensuring timely resolution of identified vulnerabilities. This role involves managing, maintaining, and optimizing the Power BI Report Server infrastructure, including server migrations, upgrades, report lifecycle management, and enterprise-level BI deployments. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in tax environments and SDLC.

Location : Washington, District of Columbia, United States

Responsibilities :

• Serve as the primary point of contact for all vulnerability-related findings.
• Review security reports related to BI and coordinate with IT to address vulnerabilities.
• Manage, maintain, and optimize the Power BI Report Server infrastructure.
• Plan and execute complex server migrations (e.g., Windows Server, SQL Server, Power BI Report Server).
• Monitor server performance, capacity, and availability to ensure optimal operation.
• Identify and resolve issues related to the Power BI Report Server, including data refresh failures and report access problems.
• Manage user access, permissions, and security roles within the Power BI Report Server environment.
• Manage upgrades, patches, and migrations of the Power BI Report Server environment.
• Work with security teams on mitigating / resolving vulnerabilities.
• Provide training and knowledge transfer to colleagues regarding Power BI Report Server usage and best practices.
