Job description

Adelphi is seeking a Special Education Teacher for a self-contained middle school classroom at a school in Greenville, South Carolina. This position is ideal for a certified educator dedicated to meeting the diverse needs of students with disabilities in grades 6–8.

Requirements :

Bachelor’s degree in Education or related field.

Valid South Carolina certification in Special Education (or eligibility to obtain).

Experience working in self-contained settings with middle school students.

Strong knowledge of instructional accommodations and behavioral supports.

Excellent collaboration skills to work with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities :

Provide individualized instruction in a self-contained classroom for grades 6–8.

Manage a structured learning environment to support academic and behavioral success.

Deliver instruction aligned to IEPs while adhering to state standards.

Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with parents and staff.

Schedule includes one 25-minute lunch and two 45-minute planning periods daily.

Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and IEP compliance.

Any other duties as assigned
