Analyst Marketing Intelligence
Overview
Contribute to the marketing analysis efforts. Maintenance and improvement of the operating cost model used by the Marketing Intelligence team to perform the pricing process of FEC.
Prepare periodic commercial budgets and monthly projections. Responsible for commercial reporting; statistics close outs, monthly presentations.
Contribute actively in the project valuation gathering relevant internal information from different departments : Operations, Commercial, Finance, etc.
Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following :
- Gather, synthesize data and provides analyses for a broad array of issues across disciplines and functional areas.
- Maintain and develop analytical tools and models to support strategic business planning : Operating Cost Models, internal dashboards, etc.
to facilitate the business decision of the company
- Analyzes commercial and financial results and provides variance analysis to support business decisions. Identifies and recommends suggested action steps based on analytic results and makes recommendations to the AVP Commercial Analytics.
- Drives the completion of quality and timely commercial and financial projections and budgets
- Participates in strategic business planning and provides forecasting and analysis expertise.
- Gather internal and external data on complex projects and identifies financial impacts
- Evaluates analysis conducted by other departments or external consultants and determines financial impact
- Prepares and delivers presentations to all levels of management
- Seeks opportunities for process-improvement to gain efficiencies and takes lead role on implementing
- In collaboration with AVP Commercial Analytics identify key business issues, outline strategic alternatives and recommend action plans

Qualifications
Qualification Requirements
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Finance, Economics, Supply Chain, Engineering or similar degrees preferred.
Minimum 2-3 years working in the logistics, transportation, international trade, or finance fields. Additional education or experience may be preferred.
Comprehensive and current knowledge of logistics and supply chain trends

The drive and energy to manage multiple intermodal project opportunities while working closely with a broad FEC team to develop new services for both existing and new clients based upon their logistical needs, timelines, and constraints

Ability to identify issues and propose solutions.
Excellent research and analytical skills. Ability to conduct and interpret quantitative / qualitative analysis.
Must have proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbal and written and present information to various audiences, including executives, customers and employees.
Demonstrated organizational skills and attention to detail.
Ability to work with limited supervision and flexibility as needed
Proven computer and analytical skills, especially MS Office, database and CRM software and dashboard applications
Work Environment
General office work environment at FEC’s new commercial offices at Port Everglades, Florida. Occasional customer office or job site visits.
Some out-of-office travel required, that may require night or weekend accessibility
