Client Service Associate — Washington, DC (Hybrid : Two Days in Office)
ISC’s team of Financial Services Recruiters is partnering with a leading Wealth Advisory firm in DC . This is an established, independent firm serving high-net-worth families and individuals, known for its collegial culture, long-term career development, and commitment to promoting from within.
About the Role
We’re seeking an experienced Client Service Associate (CSA) to join the DC office. This person will work closely with Paraplanners and Advisory teams, supporting a sophisticated HNW client base. The role is highly transactional and requires a strong understanding of custodial operations, money movement, and client account administration. This is not a call-center position it’s a high-touch, relationship-driven role supporting clients with $5M+ in investable assets. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, takes initiative, and delivers exceptional service with polish and precision.
Responsibilities
- Partner with advisors and client service teams to provide day-to-day operational and servicing support for HNW clients.
- Open and maintain accounts across multiple custodians; prepare new account paperwork, contracts, and subscription agreements.
- Manage daily cash and security movements, including deposits, withdrawals, wires, gifts, and journals.
- Coordinate closely with internal operations teams to ensure timely and accurate trade execution and processing.
- Perform account maintenance, reconciliation, and data accuracy checks within internal systems.
- Monitor workflows, troubleshoot issues, and ensure proper documentation and compliance procedures are followed.
- Communicate directly with clients and custodians via phone and email in a professional, polished manner.
- Assist with portfolio rebalancing, billing reviews, and report preparation.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, or related field.3+ years of experience in wealth management, private banking, or financial services client support. Preference given to candidates with HNW experience.Demonstrated experience handling money movement, trading, or custodial transactions.Familiarity with custodial platforms such as Commonwealth or LPL strongly preferred.Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills in a fast-paced setting.Strong communication skills — able to correspond confidently with both clients and internal stakeholders.
