Human Resources Intern
Come join Highgate for the summer in one of our dynamic, paid internships! We are currently seeking one Human Resources Intern to support our New York properties. This is a 10-week immersive program designed to give you hands-on experience in hotel Human Resources while working in a fun and fast-paced hospitality environment.
Specific property placement will be discussed once an internship offer is extended.
Responsibilities
- Support the HR Department with daily administrative functions.
- Assist HR leadership with key responsibilities, including :
- New hire administration and onboarding
- Employee relations support
- Training coordination
- Employee communications with hotel departments and corporate offices
- Help maintain HR records and documentation in compliance with company and legal standards.
- Participate in HR projects that enhance employee engagement and workplace culture.
- Interact with employees across all levels of the hotel to provide HR support in a professional and service-oriented manner.
Qualifications
Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Graduate degree in Human Resources, Hospitality Management, Business, or related field.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to interact with all levels of employees and guests.Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.Professional, warm, and friendly demeanor at all times.Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion.
