- Analyze losses leading to heat generation including copper losses, hysteresis, and eddy currents.
- Perform magnetic field and flux simulations using FEA or BEM.
- Calculate leakage inductances, mutual inductances, and parasitic capacitances.
- Analyze partial discharge, corona effects, and dielectric strength of insulation.
- Quantify core losses (hysteresis, eddy currents) and copper losses and optimize design for minimal losses.
- Analyze mechanical stresses due to short circuits, thermal expansion, and vibrations.
- Ensure structural integrity and proper cooling through mechanical design consideration.
- Ensure transformer design meets IEC, IEEE, ANSI standards for safety and performance.
