Our Values : We do what is right We serve others and help them succeed We believe in hard work and a commitment to family We treat others with dignity and respect JOB SUMMARY : As an Agronomy Sales Account Manager, you will be responsible for growing sales and servicing customers in your assigned territory.
This area will include the state of Nebraska and the southern portion of Iowa. You will look for opportunities to help producers grow their business by identifying solutions that address the challenges that they face.
Your focus will be on the sale of Ralco’s Agnition line of agronomy products, while looking for opportunities to grow our swine, poultry, and ruminant business.
You will be responsible for maximizing the potential of current accounts in addition to leveraging your industry connections and relationships to establish new accounts.
You must be able to communicate well with a broader team as you service your customers with the aid of other Ralco personnel.
You will work with our distribution partners to assist in coordinating the efficient flow of products to customers in their territories.
You will work with technical, product management, regulatory, operations, finance, and customer service to develop opportunities and meet the customers’ needs.
You must also work well with the executive staff and business unit managers to define target accounts and define goals and approaches for these accounts.
You will be responsible for the sales and profitability of your assigned territory. This job description is not meant to be all inclusive and duties may vary based on departmental and company needs.
KEY WORK DUTIES AND REQUIRED SKILLS : Identify and set up new accounts, listen and ask the right questions, and structure a message and a solution that meets the customer’s needs.
Increase product penetration and sales volume with existing accounts. Call on existing and potential customers regarding product information, use, and analysis to maximize profit potential across all product lines while providing customer support.
Establish and train dealers and distributors to establish and expand sales. Advise customers, dealers, and distributors on policies, operating procedures, and incentives to insure functional effectiveness of business.
Resolves customer complaints regarding sales and service. Inspect premises of assigned stores for adequate display and promotion of the brand and products.
Participate at trade association meetings and shows in and outside territory to promote Ralco products and services. Communicate well with other areas of the business to ensure you are working within established programs, pricing, and distribution.
Evaluate immediate opportunities within accounts that may require product development activities. Work with marketing and technology to plan effective communication to these accounts.
In collaboration with your supervisor, you will develop a unique professional development plan to ensure that you are pursuing and fulling your professional and personal goals in a diligent and thoughtful manner.
JOB REQUIREMENTS : Education : Undergraduate degree in Ag-Business related field or matching experience. Experience : 3+ years of responsibility in a role of sales or marketing is preferred.
