Engineering Manager
Engineering Manager, Mobile Team
San Mateo, SF. 3 days per week
$200,000 - $250,000 base salary plus equity
One of the largest EdTech companies in the US is looking for an Engineering Manager to lead their Mobile team. You would be responsible for the most downloaded and most widely used educational mobile application in the US.
Their goal to to be used by 1 in 2 US students within the next year and a half.
The mobile team you would be leading is a senior team, based 3 / 4 days per week out of their San Mateo office. The engineering org is around 250 people and you'd be leading around 12 people, with 2 team leads reporting to you.

Responsibilities :
- To provide top-notch mobile learning experiences, lead and develop a high-performing team of bright and motivated engineers, engineering leads, and engineering managers.
- Facilitate the effective distribution of priceless iOS and Android apps that assist teachers in the constantly changing field of education.
- Encourage technological excellence among teams by improving practices and abilities from design to release.
- Encourage the team's growth, enthusiasm, and professional development by giving them authority and motivation.
- Highlight the company's vision, mission, and values, instilling a deep sense of purpose and direction in each team member.
- Work in unison with the larger development team, setting priorities and leading projects to achieve exceptional outcomes.
Requirements :
- 7+ years of software engineering experience and 3+ years of leadership
- Advanced knowledge of iOS and / or Android development
- Strong leadership and communication abilities
- Passion for mentoring and growth
- Zeal for utilizing technology to improve education
