Can a maintenance leader accelerate global health? At Cepheid, yes.
We’re a Danaher company advancing molecular diagnostics that improve patient outcomes. Powered by the Danaher Business System, we relentlessly pursue better—faster problem solving, smarter systems, measurable impact.
Imagine this scenario
An automated module on an IVD line throws a fault mid‑run. You lead your team to isolate the issue, apply a temporary countermeasure, and capture learnings to update the PM playbook. By shift end, the line is back at target OEE, spare parts are replenished, and a vendor‑supported upgrade is scheduled—all while maintaining FDA, ISO, OSHA, and GMP compliance and impeccable Good Housekeeping.
Your mission
- Own and evolve the plant’s Preventive Maintenance program : craft procedures, schedule PMs, orchestrate major projects and equipment upgrades, and implement changes that enhance manufacturing line efficiency and department performance.
- Lead people and performance : deliver appraisals, coach and counsel, resolve conflicts, and administer discipline when needed; plan headcount and drive hiring activities to meet maintenance demand.
- Be the escalation point for complex automation equipment issues.
- Manage supplier relationships for equipment purchases and optimize spare‑parts strategy for cost and uptime.
- Champion Good Housekeeping across all manufacturing areas.
- Continuously monitor equipment and improve OEE and maintenance processes in alignment with Company, FDA, ISO, OSHA, and GMP standards.
