Territory Account Manager - Nashville

A-Gas is the global expert in the full life-cycle management of specialty chemicals and gases, providing refrigerants, blowing agents, fire protection agents, and carbon credit offsets to customers around the world. We are looking for a Territory Account Manager who will be hands-on in customer engagement to meet and exceed company goals by selling our three service offerings : Cylinder Exchange Program, Onsite Rapid Recovery Service, and National Consolidation. A percentage of time will be spent making phone calls / email / virtual meetings in home or field service office and in the field selling in face-to-face meetings. You will achieve the budget by acquiring new customers while partnering with the field service teams to maximize the current business to meet gas acquisition and service revenue goals. This is a hybrid role with travel to A-Gas sites, customer, supplier, or other sites as required. This position may require greater than 25% travel. We are seeking someone who lives in the Nashville, TN area.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed monthly goals for acquiring gas and service revenue within the refrigerant gas service network through high-volume contact with new and existing customers, primarily via phone.
  • Responsible for acquiring new customers by reaching out to businesses that have accounts but haven't made purchases in over a year (retention), as well as growing opportunities with current accounts.
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM to capture and track key activities.
  • Coordinate with the local Field Services Manager to onboard customers and schedule upcoming jobs and services.
  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to attract new customers and expand opportunities.
  • Receive moderate guidance and direction from others. Build relationships with individuals and organizations as a passionate seller.
  • Utilize excellent persuasion skills to identify new opportunities. Conduct market assessments, competitor analyses, and pricing strategies.
  • Develop a call schedule to adequately cover the territory.
  • Participate in bi-weekly / weekly meetings with the Field Service Manager to optimize and execute sales strategy and budget attainment.

Qualifications

Required

  • A Bachelor's degree is preferred, along with sales experience, or a minimum of 3 years' previous sales experience in place of a degree.
  • Commission will be based on a Tiered program aligned with the budget.
  • The job will involve traveling in multi-city / state areas.
  • You should be available and willing to travel and work flexible hours.
  • Proven sales ability is essential.
  • You must thrive in an environment that involves a high volume of outbound calls.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.
  • You will be responsible for managing your time effectively, identifying potential barriers to completing work, and seeking support when necessary.
  • The job will require the ability to work quickly, both independently and collaboratively.
  • You should have knowledge and experience in your own discipline and may be acquiring higher-level knowledge and skills.
  • Some level of independent judgment may be applied.
  • A valid Driver's license with a clean driving record is mandatory.

    Pay for this role will be commensurate with candidate's experience. This role will be eligible for base pay plus our sales incentive commission plan.
