Based in Los Angeles, the Staff Learning & Development Assistant will be responsible for supporting the Firm’s professional skills training and career support initiative for our 850+ staff members worldwide.
This role reports to the Staff Learning & Development Specialist.
Responsibilities include :
- Provide administrative assistance to the Learning & Development team.
- Collaborate on content and design of monthly staff newsletters.
- Assist with organizing data through inputs including surveys and individual outreach.
- Support administration of staff integration programs including new hire orientations and Gibson Guides program.
- Support the employee recognition program tracking and approval process.
- Provide administrative support for LinkedIn Learning by helping to monitor usage, orienting new users, providing content recommendations, and developing opportunities for engagement.
- Track tuition assistance usage, and conduct research on external training and certification opportunities.
- Update Firm Learning & Development resources including the intranet page.
- Gather and organize research on professional development topics.
- Work with large volumes of information to help the department identify trends in staff development and create reports as needed.
- Help plan and provide on-site support at various events throughout the year.
- Collaborate with the Staff Learning & Development Specialist on additional projects as needed.
- Support global programs by developing a solid understanding of departmental objectives and working as a contributing member of the team.
Qualifications
- Strong organization skills with a focus on attention to detail, problem solving and the ability to multitask.
- Professional demeanor and excellent communication skills paired with a positive, welcoming, and service-oriented attitude.
- Demonstrated resourcefulness, creativity, and self-directed behavior.
- Excellent writing, proofreading and editing skills. Must be able to tailor written work product to the appropriate audience.
- Experience and proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Interest in adult education and career growth.
- Ability to both focus on a variety of projects and manage multiple priorities.
- Ability to work effectively with other departments and staff at all levels of the Firm across multiple time zones.
- Integrity to handle sensitive and highly confidential information with utmost care.
Experience
- Four-year college degree required.
- Some experience in a professional development, talent development, human resources or related role preferred.
