Partners Professional is currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable and Payments Clerk for our client located in Wayne, PA. Our client is at the forefront of launching new and innovative financial products and processes in automation of loans including a cutting edge mobile app. The AP and Payments Clerk is responsible for processing vendor invoices, managing payments, and maintaining accurate financial records. The ideal candidate will ensure that all payables are handled efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with company policies and accounting standards.
This position is being offered as a temp-to hire, Monday thru Friday dayshift at 40 hours per week. It is Onsite daily.
Key Responsibilities
- Review, verify, and process vendor invoices for accuracy, proper approval, and compliance with company policies.
- Match purchase orders, invoices, and receipts to ensure accuracy before payment.
- Enter and maintain accounts payable transactions in the accounting system.
- Prepare and process check runs, ACH transfers, wire payments, and other payment methods.
- Monitor accounts to ensure timely payment of invoices and resolution of discrepancies.
- Reconcile vendor statements and respond to inquiries from suppliers regarding payment status.
- Assist in month-end closing by ensuring all payables are properly recorded.
- Maintain organized and up-to-date records of invoices, payments, and related documentation.
- Support audits by providing requested accounts payable documentation.
- Collaborate with the finance team to improve efficiency of accounts payable and payment processes.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred.1–2 years of experience in accounts payable, bookkeeping, or general accounting.Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.Knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices.Proficiency with accounting software and Microsoft Excel.Strong organizational and time-management skills.Ability to communicate effectively with vendors and internal stakeholders.High level of integrity and ability to handle confidential information.The company location is a professional office environment and nice business casual attire is expected.
