HR Generalist

Our client is a large non-profit pension and benefits fund supporting thousands of participants nationwide. Their mission is to provide long-term financial security for employees and retirees through strong benefits programs and reliable services.

Our client is seeking a detail-oriented HR Generalist to join their Human Resources team. This role will support a variety of HR functions, including high-volume recruitment, onboarding, benefits administration, employee inquiries, and event planning. The ideal candidate thrives in a process-driven environment, communicates effectively at all levels, and maintains composure under pressure.

Key Responsibilities :

• Manage full-cycle recruitment efforts, including job postings, agency coordination, resume screening, interview scheduling, background checks, and candidate communications.
• Lead onboarding and orientation programs for new hires and temporary staff.
• Serve as a point of contact for employee questions regarding HR policies, benefits, and leave administration.
• Reconcile monthly benefit invoices and transmit payroll / salary updates as needed.
• Plan and coordinate employee engagement events such as appreciation days, holiday parties, and monthly gatherings.
• Maintain personnel files and ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment regulations.
• Support HR communications, including newsletter content and policy updates.
• Assist with reporting, compliance filings (ACA, EEO), and offboarding procedures.
