Job Title : Medical Billing Specialist

Location : 3030 Sawtelle Blvd, Los Angeles, CA 90066 (On-site Only)

Position Overview : We are seeking an experienced Medical Biller with 5-10 years of experience to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in medical billing, particularly in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R), Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment. Experience in billing for Ambulance, Pharmacy, Hospital, Psychiatry, or Sober Living does not translate to this role.

Key Responsibilities :

Accurately process and submit insurance claims for services rendered in PM&R, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment.

Review, edit, and resubmit rejected or denied claims to maximize reimbursements.

Verify patient insurance benefits and eligibility.

Follow up on unpaid or denied claims to ensure timely reimbursement.

Handle patient billing inquiries and provide excellent customer service.

Maintain compliance with all regulations, guidelines, and company policies.

Maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations.

Qualifications :

5-10 years of experience in medical billing.

Familiarity with billing procedures for PM&R, Physical Therapy, Chiropractic, Acupuncture, General Medicine, and Durable Medical Equipment.

Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.

Strong knowledge of CPT, ICD-10, and HCPCS coding.

Experience with medical billing software and EMR systems.

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team.

High level of integrity and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality.

Compensation :

Hourly pay rate : $25 - $40, commensurate with experience.

Work Schedule :

Full-time, on-site position.
