Description
The Clinical Preceptor provides direct supervision of groups of BSN nursing students within the clinical environment. The Clinical Preceptor delivers the clinical activities developed by the School of Nursing (SON) faculty through the program curriculum design. The Clinical Preceptor helps in the development of the student’s clinical knowledge, skills and behaviors through direct supervision of skills at the clinical site. The Clinical Preceptor fosters an environment to support critical thinking and clinical judgment. The Clinical Preceptor participates in holistic student performance assessment by providing formative and summative feedback to the student and to the SON faculty about student performance using standardized student assessments.
