Pay : $55,000 – $70,000per year (Depending on Experience)

Position Overview
A well-established building automation and controls contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and service of commercial and industrial automation systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong electrical background, hands-on field experience, and solid troubleshooting skills across HVAC and building controls environments.

Key Responsibilities
Install, terminate, and test control wiring for sensors, actuators, and panels
Commission and troubleshoot building automation and DDC systems
Load and modify control programs under direction of senior engineers
Verify and document system operation and testing results
Diagnose and resolve electrical or communication issues in the field
Read and interpret wiring diagrams and control drawings
Calibrate control devices to ensure accuracy and reliability
Complete detailed service reports and maintain safety compliance

Skills & Experience
3–5 years of experience with building automation, HVAC controls, or electrical systems
Strong understanding of DDC controls, electrical principles, and low-voltage wiring
Proficiency with test instruments and diagnostic tools
Ability to interpret electrical prints and control sequences
Excellent troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
Familiarity with Tridium Niagara, Schneider Electric, or similar platforms
Experience with BACnet, Modbus, or LON protocols
Tridium Niagara N4 certification or equivalent a plus
Background in HVAC service, commissioning, or networking / IP systems
