Short Description

• Assists interventionalists in all procedures within the scope of interventional Radiology and Vascular surgery to include but not limited to oncology, vascular and trauma.
• Skill set must be maintained to handle supplies / instrumentation associated with interventional procedures.
• Must be able to assist physicians in the capacity of both a scrub and circulating technologist.
• Maintains work area : Reports maintenance issues for equipment, monitors supplies and deficiencies. Adheres to all Infection Prevention policies, utilizing the appropriate PPE needed.
• Maintains licensure and BLS. Stays current and participates departmental training offered.
• Demonstrates courteous behavior, positive attitude, etc. through polite communication with all co- workers / customers.
• Understands and appreciates the need to provide good customer service, both internal and external.
• Participates in clinical activities (i.e. assists with patient flow / care, helps to optimize throughput of patients via Radiology Transport).
• Remains compliant of timekeeping rules : Avoids early, late and unauthorized entries.
• Adheres to Departmental procedures, fulfills compliance with life safety, fire and hazardous waste, Radiation Safety, and Infection Prevention requirements.
• Attends staff meetings and reviews daily huddles to keep current on department communications.

Experience Required

0-2 years' experience required.

3-5 years' experience preferred.

Education Requirements

High School / GED required.

Associate’s degree preferred.

License / Certification Requirements

AART required.

NJDEP required.

BLS from AMA required.
