Overview Marketing and Communications leadership role focused on supporting Paradigm’s new work goals (near and long term) by facilitating sales through market research, proposal and presentation development, database management, and developing sales / marketing collateral. The role aims to solidify Paradigm as the most respected general contractor in the Houston market among owners, architects, subcontractors, and staff using strategies such as websites, social media, and print platforms. It promotes the Paradigm Mission and Core Values through customized marketing strategies focused on core markets and the “Paradigm Difference”. Duties & Responsibilities
Proposal and Presentation Preparation : overall responsibility for the proposal and presentation process including soliciting required information from teammates in a detailed and timely manner.
Drives strategy to support the development of an effective response.
Prepares proposals for designated assignments, including writing content, creating design and layout, soliciting input from operations staff, and establishing and enforcing internal and external deadlines.
Ensures consistent messaging and quality control on all responses, and continuously looks for ways to improve the final product.
Designs and / or coordinates interview materials including PowerPoint, presentation boards, leave behinds and handouts.
Works with interview team to ensure presentation formats are of highest quality and consistent with market leaders.
Participates in interview preparation meetings and offers input on possible enhancements.
Encourages a client-focused approach vs. a purely technical approach, challenging market leaders to think differently.
Marketing Strategy And Brand Management
Leads in marketing planning for primary core markets by actively contributing to planning sessions, evaluating research and data, and developing market plans.
Develops vertical market specialization including market trends, competitive positioning, and strategic direction by reviewing external industry materials and internal strategy documents.
Develops strategies to engage clients / influencers and build strong relationships through programs, campaigns, and tactics that achieve marketing and sales objectives and increase client engagement.
Develops understanding of the company’s differentiators and translates them into brand strategy.
Recommends and implements programs that enhance the brand, lead to client engagement, and distinguish the company in the marketplace.
Communicates brand strategy within the company and monitors for consistency and alignment.
Tasks And Deliverables Of Marketing
Marketing Communication and Advertising : lead the development of project and company marketing communications, externally and internally; designs, edits, and writes marketing materials and coordinates with outside vendors.
Drives the selection of media mix for marketing communications and advertising campaigns.
Tracks progress and evaluates impact of internal and external advertising and communication.
Ensures Paradigm staff are well informed of news and announcements by contributing to internal emails, letters, presentations, or other appropriate methods of communication.
Public Relations / Promotions / Events
Lead planning and execution of project and company events (e.g., ribbon cuttings, ground breakings, staff functions, family events, grand openings).
Coordinate signage for projects and offices to ensure visibility and consistent branding.
Coordinate award nominations by identifying opportunities, writing and submitting nominations for projects, staff and company.
Direct project teams in identifying materials needed for sales activities such as trade shows, sponsored events, and prospect meetings.
Develop and oversee project photography program, including professional and in-house photography.
Lead and develop periodic newsletters containing current happenings on projects, Paradigm staff, and families.
Plan and execute external mailings such as newsletters and Christmas Cards.
Website and Social Media
Oversee design, implementation, and maintenance of the company website with external vendors and internal leaders to ensure site aligns with image, core values, and high standards.
Track website and social media metrics and recommend revisions to improve effectiveness.
Ensure website updates keep the site dynamic and interesting for return viewers.
Oversee social media with external vendors and internal staff to maximize communication and promotion of company news and events on platforms such as Facebook and LinkedIn.
Marketing Database
Manage databases for completed and in-construction projects by gathering information, photography, entering into databases, and updating as necessary for qualification packages and proposals.
Manage the resume database by gathering current information on experience, education, certifications, and other data for resumes and promotional materials.
Manage data of all qualification packages, proposals, and presentations for efficient future use.
Create “best in class response” for all services using creative visuals to supplement response verbiage.
