Job description

Project Accountant - Residential Construction | Onsite | Nashville | Up to $100,000

A leading residential homebuilding company in Nashville is seeking a Project Accountant to join its growing finance team. This fully onsite role offers the chance to work closely with project managers and leadership in a dynamic, hands-on environment with strong career growth potential.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage project-level accounting, including job cost tracking and reconciliations
  • Prepare and review monthly project financial reports
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis for construction projects
  • Ensure compliance with GAAP and internal controls
  • Collaborate with operations and project management teams to align financial reporting with project progress
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes

Qualifications :

  • No degree required
  • 1-5 years of construction or project accounting experience
  • Strong understanding of job costing and project financials
  • Proficiency in Excel and accounting / project management software
  • Detail-oriented with excellent analytical and communication skills
