Security Officer - Unarmed Logistics Patrols Full-Time

As a Security Officer - Unarmed Logistics Patrols Full-Time in Virginia Beach, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned logistics and distribution locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and promoting a secure environment for staff and visitors. Your visible presence and routine patrols will support a welcoming atmosphere while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. Pay Rate : $19.00 / Hour

Job Schedule : DayTime

Tue 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Wed 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Thur 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Fri 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

Sat 10 : 00 PM - 06 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the logistics and distribution location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and / or access.
  • Monitor for unusual activity or potential hazards during patrols and report findings to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist with access control by verifying credentials of individuals entering and / or exiting the location.
  • Document and report security-related incidents, observations, and / or concerns according to established protocols.
  • Support Allied Universal and client staff during emergency situations by following established procedures and communicating clearly.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • CPR certification is preferred.
  • A valid guard card or license is preferred.
  • Experience with access control and / or badge systems is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
