Overview

Perseptex is seeking a relationship-driven Sales Representative based in Ohio to help strengthen and grow our presence within healthcare organizations across the U.S. This role is ideal for someone who possess strong interpersonal skills, has experience nurturing relationships, and will work to build trust over time.

You will primarily work with warm leads provided by Perseptex , guiding prospects through early conversations, staying in touch as they evaluate our solutions, and ensuring they feel supported throughout the process. This is a hybrid role that blends inside sales, light account management, and long-term relationship building.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Engagement & Nurturing

  • Receive warm inbound leads and company-sourced introductions; initiate friendly, value-driven outreach.
  • Build rapport quickly with prospects, understanding their needs, challenges, and timelines.
  • Keep conversations alive through consistent follow-up, personalized messages, and regular check-ins.

Relationship Management

  • Maintain long-term relationships with healthcare leaders, department heads, and operational stakeholders across Ohio.
  • Act as the ongoing point of contact—answering questions, facilitating connections internally, and making prospects feel taken care of.
  • Monitor conversations and buyer intent to identify when a lead is ready for a discovery call with senior sales or engineering.
  • Communication & Coordination

  • Communicate proactively with Perseptex leadership and marketing about prospect feedback, meeting updates, objections, and opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to tailor messaging, share field insights, and ensure alignment on outreach strategies.
  • Keep CRM records organized and updated with all outreach, conversations, and next steps.
  • Maintain timely and proactive communication with supervisors and internal teams , providing updates on leads, follow-ups, and prospect status.
  • Support for Sales Cycle

  • Schedule and smoothly hand off qualified leads to senior sales or engineering for deeper product discussions.
  • Help coordinate follow-up materials, decks, meeting prep, or product information as needed.
  • Maintain engagement during longer sales cycles and assist in account maintenance post-proposal.
  • May be responsible for conducting initial discovery calls to understand prospect needs and determine alignment with Perseptex's solutions.
  • May be asked to conduct cold outreach to new prospects via email, LinkedIn, or phone to expand the pipeline.
  • Relationship Management & Retention

  • Maintain ongoing relationships with assigned prospects and clients , ensuring consistent communication and support throughout the sales cycle.
  • Act as a point of contact for leads over time , providing guidance, answering questions, and helping prospects feel supported.
  • Monitor engagement and follow up proactively to nurture interest, reinforce value, and move opportunities toward a discovery call or sale.
  • Support account retention by tracking needs, challenges, and progress , escalating opportunities or issues to leadership as appropriate.
  • Requirements

    Must-Have

  • Outstanding communication skills —naturally relational, clear, empathetic, and personable.
  • Some prior experience in sales, business development, account management, or a customer-facing role is required.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and speaking with senior decision-makers.
  • Highly organized, dependable, and consistent with follow-ups.
  • Strong emotional intelligence; able to read people, adapt tone, and build trust.
  • Based in Ohio , with the ability to travel locally for meetings if needed.
  • Nice-to-Have

  • 1–3+ years of sales or account management experience, preferably in B2B or service-based environments.
  • Experience in healthcare, SaaS, or emerging technology sales.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce).
  • Experience managing long or complex sales cycles.
  • Compensation

  • Competitive salary , reflective of experience and performance.
