Description : The Children s Hospital Float Pool (CHFP) consists of nurses trained to work in all Pediatric areas of the hospital including the Neonatal ICU (NICU), Pediatric ICU (PICU), General Pediatric floors, Postpartum mother / baby and the Pediatric Emergency Department. There are no beds / exam rooms associated with the CHFP structure. At the beginning of their shift, CHFP RNs receive their assignment from the Centralized Nursing Staffing Office or CHFP Nurse Manager / Assistant Nurse Manager. The assignments may be changed based on patient / staffing needs. CHFP nurses care for patients 0-21 years of age experiencing, but not limited to, prematurity, respiratory illness, trauma, sepsis, surgical interventions, neurological disorders, complex medical / surgical needs and diabetic ketoacidosis.

Epic experience REQUIRED Navy blue scrubs required Candidates from the following counties cannot be considered : Albany, Columbia, Dutchess, Fulton, Greene, Montgomery, Rensselaer, Saratoga, Schenectady, Ulster, Warren and Washington
