Description :

This position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Telemetry.

The role is in a unit that combines medical-surgical and progressive care to provide fundamental critical care experience.

RNs will gain skills in mechanical ventilation and provide nursing support focused on safe patient outcomes.

Patient diagnoses may include pneumonia, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, congestive heart failure, COVID-19, and pulmonary embolism.

Nurses will manage complex cases involving oxygen therapy, intravenous medications, moderate sedation monitoring, chest tubes, tracheostomies, postoperative care, non-invasive ventilation, and mechanical ventilation.

The unit supports a diverse patient population and fosters family involvement, creating an exceptional atmosphere for nursing practice.

RNs will advocate for the safety and care of patients, emphasizing critical thinking, time management, and patient care priorities.

The unit comprises 30 medical-surgical beds with the capability to accommodate additional patients based on volume.

The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1 : 3 in acute settings with varying ratios on days and nights.

Nurse educators will validate competencies upon arrival.

The training includes a combination of patient care, unit tours, and core competency validations.

RNs are encouraged to engage in committees related to patient experience, performance improvement, and clinical reasoning.

Ongoing education and professional development opportunities are available through certifications.
