Ultrasound Technologist (Night Shift)

  • Location : Temple, TX, 76508
  • Shift : 10-hr Nights | 9 : 00 PM-7 : 00 AM
  • Job Type : Permanent
  • Guaranteed Hours : (40 hours / week)
  • Compensation : Based on experience (Negotiable)

Job Summary :

The Ultrasound Technologist performs diagnostic ultrasound procedures under the general supervision of a Radiologist or licensed provider. This role supports patient care by producing high-quality diagnostic images in accordance with established protocols, in both hospital and ambulatory care environments. The technologist ensures patient safety, maintains accurate records, and collaborates with the healthcare team for the accurate diagnosis of disease and injury.

Responsibilities :

  • Perform ultrasound examinations including abdominal, OB / GYN, breast, musculoskeletal, vascular, and other specialty exams based on certification.
  • Operate ultrasound imaging equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Prepare patients for procedures, explain the process, and address concerns to ensure comfort and compliance.
  • Collaborate with physicians and radiologists to evaluate images and determine if additional views are needed.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and exam documentation in the electronic health record system.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety, regulatory, and infection control standards.
  • Participate in on-call or weekend coverage as needed.

    • Qualifications : Education :

  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.

    • Experience :

  • Less than 1 year of experience required.

    • Certifications / Licensure (Required) :

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) : Must be certified at hire or within 30 days of hire / transfer required.
  • One or more of the following required :

    • ARDMS Certifications :

    OB / GYN (RDMS-OB)

  • Abdomen (RDMS-AB)
  • Breast (RDMS-BR)
  • Musculoskeletal (MSK)
  • Vascular (RVT or RVS)
  • ARRT Certifications :

    • Sonography (ARRT-S)

  • Breast Sonography (ARRT-BS)
  • CCI Certification :

    • Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
