Manager, Account Management - Named Accounts (Growth & Retention)

About the Role

We are looking for a pragmatic, growth-minded Account Management & Sales leader with a proven track record of success to lead our hybrid US-based Account Management team. As a Manager of Account Management, you will lead, coach, and develop the Account Managers who own Rippling's largest and most strategic accounts. You will staff and lead the teams to meet company objectives for growth, margin, customer adoption, and customer retention. You will be responsible for defining, managing & executing key lifecycle events for customers across multiple channels within this segment. You will report into Rippling's Director of Named Account Management and collaborate closely with our Account Management leadership team.

What You Will Do

  • Manage a team of Named account managers to deliver against monthly, quarterly, and annual goals
  • Provide leadership and direction to an extremely high-performance team including hiring, training, and pace setting
  • Develop specific and targeted goals for individuals on your team to help them grow and develop
  • Drive executive alignment with key decision makers and stakeholders within your team's accounts
  • Advocate internally, and align Rippling stakeholders to problem solve and deliver your customers' top priority requirements
  • Find innovative and creative ways to improve and increase performance
  • Execute, iterate and improve on "set piece" customer engagements to develop best practices that scale
  • Support consistent and consultative sales and client success processes ensuring customer experience remains best in class
  • Directly manage and resolve customer escalations
  • Take an entrepreneurial approach to the role, working collaboratively with the rest of the leadership team to get things done

What You Will Need

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience scaling and managing a client-facing sales or account management team in a fast-paced environment
  • Previous experience as a top-performing account manager or sales executive
  • Proven track record of team quota-attainment via new product sales and upgrades
  • Proven leadership skills, people management skills
  • Competitive and creative drive to win alongside customers and think outside of the box to get a deal done
  • Highly effective communicator with good people instincts - able to build trust and work well with a diverse group inside and outside the company
  • Eager for a very hands-on role, where you'll be asked to take on and run with a range of projects outside your comfort zone, and learn extremely quickly
  • Highly effective communicator with excellent EQ able to build trust and work well with a diverse group inside and outside the company
  • Extremely organized, self-motivated and detail-oriented, with great follow-through on projects / tasks big and small
  • High integrity; enthusiastic about building a great company for the long term

    Compensation for this role :

    Tier 1 : $280,000 / year OTE (Office based) (60 / 40 commission split for base / variable pay) Commission is not guaranteed
