Our customer, the Best Choice in the utility construction business is currently hiring Designers in the Chesapeake, VA area. This is an office based position, and the Designer will be responsible for drafting designs for utility and telecommunications construction projects. This is a 6 month contract opportunity with an opportunity for extension or full time employment.

The Designer will be responsible for working closely with the engineering, right of way, land survey and permitting staff to map drafting, survey project support and the data and legal aspects of survey operations.

Responsibilities :

• Ability to synthesize information and create designs
• Complete markups
• Report graphics preparation
• Set-up and prepare plans
• Provide assistance with submittals
• Maintain QA / QC processes and requirements
