Job description

Overview

The Senior Manager of Electrical Engineering will oversee the team responsible for designing and delivering electrical systems for warehouse automation projects. This role focuses on managing detailed electrical design, panel layouts, wiring diagrams, and system power distribution, while coordinating with internal stakeholders and external vendors to ensure reliable, compliant, and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate brings strong technical expertise in electrical engineering and a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through execution, commissioning, and customer acceptance.

Responsibilities

  • You will lead electrical engineering execution from final design handoff through commissioning and customer acceptance.
  • You will oversee creation and quality of electrical design deliverables, including schematics, wiring diagrams, panel layouts, and BOMs.
  • You will coordinate cross-functional alignment with controls, mechanical, project management, and field services teams.
  • You will manage third-party vendors and engineering partners to ensure adherence to quality, schedule, and specifications.
  • You will apply and enforce electrical design standards, documentation practices, and validation procedures.
  • You will identify and mitigate technical risks related to safety, compliance, and design performance.
  • You will develop and manage electrical engineering schedules in alignment with project milestones.
  • You will support resource planning by assessing team capacity, skill gaps, and future workload.
  • You will act as technical escalation point during commissioning and early life support for complex electrical issues.
  • You will mentor, develop, and provide leadership to the electrical engineering team while driving continuous improvement.

Your profile

  • You've earned a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering, Power Systems, or Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • You have 5–7+ years of experience in warehouse automation, material handling, or capital equipment industries.
  • You have 3–5+ years in electrical engineering leadership or technical project management roles.
  • You have experience supervising cross-functional engineering teams and coordinating with external vendors or design partners.
  • You are familiar with electrical design tools (AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, etc.) and engineering documentation platforms.
  • You have working knowledge of safety, compliance, and industry standards (UL, CE, NEC, NFPA, OSHA, etc.).
  • You are willing and able to travel up to 30%.
  • Working environment and eligibility

    Eligible applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. The working environment includes hybrid work arrangements with the Korber team in Irving, Texas, USA.
