Local Contract Nurse RN - OR - Operating Room - $68-70 per hour

HealthTrust Workforce Solutions Regional is seeking a local contract nurse RN OR - Operating Room for a local contract nursing job in Anchorage, Alaska. Job Description & Requirements Specialty : OR - Operating Room Discipline : RN Duration : 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift : 12 hours, days Employment Type : Local Contract Number of Beds – 11 ORs Shift for this position – Three twelve-hour shifts (weekends if possible) Call Expectation – Based on the number of employees taking call, averaging 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift (Average for 8 week sign up period) Number of Staff – Varies depending on day Type of staff : Day Shift – Average of 8 RNs, 8 Scrub techs and 5 Surgical support techs Night Shift – One charge RN and one scrub tech in house with call team backup Patient Ratios – 1 : 1 Type of equipment – Variety of OR beds and equipment EMR - Epic Typical Procedures : Total Joints, Multi-level spine fusions, Variety of Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General) Very little ENT, Dental, Eyes or plastics Must Haves : - An ASN degree minimum, BSN preferred - A recent 12 months of OR RN experience in an acute hospital setting - Patient advocate as circulator while being a resource for the sterile field - AK RN License - BLS and ACLS Certifications Preferred or Nice to Have : - Scrub and Circulator Experience - CNOR - MediTech Experience - Travel Experience
