About the role

The Nuclear Systems Engineer will serve as the cognizant system engineer within Aalo's team, supporting the Aalo-X reactor. You will oversee safety-related reactor systems at Aalo-Xhandling design, operations, performance tracking, and lifecycle support.

What you'll do

• Oversee and recommend design improvements for advanced micro-reactor demonstrators.
• Monitor reactor systems during operationsdata tracking, trending, and upkeep.
• Ensure all systems meet national consensus safety standards (codes / regulations).
• Perform engineering calculations, specifications, system analyses, and testing.
• Maintain configuration management and design documentation.
• Collaborate across teamsprogram managers, lead engineersensuring nuclear safety compliance.
• Design support systemsP&IDs, PLC logic, layouts, and wiring.
• Produce detailed design drawings, including physical layouts and installation details.
• Create system and equipment design documents such as process and instrument control drawings and system design descriptions
