Junior Production Planner

Junior Level Production Planner Opening

Will train!! Must have some sort of experience from within manufacturing. Can be entry level degree or have some experience in some sort of supply chain role within manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Production support : Assist Production Planner in preparing and managing production schedules, work orders, and production reports.
• Inventory management : Monitor inventory levels of raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods, and notify planners or managers of potential shortages.
• Documentation and reporting : Perform data entry and maintain accurate records of production results, material usage, and inventory. Create and distribute daily or weekly reports on production progress.
• Expediting : Help arrange for the delivery of supplies and parts, and track the progress of production jobs to ensure timely completion.
• System maintenance : Use JobPack Production Scheduling, and Point.Man (MAPICS) Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems to track production progress and update data.
• Problem-solving : Help resolve minor issues related to production, such as material availability or scheduling changes.
• Clerical duties : Handle administrative tasks like scanning, filing, and creating correspondence.
• Other duties : As directed by the Production Planner.

Qualifications and Skills

High school diploma or equivalent; some companies may prefer an associate's or bachelor's degree. Experience in a manufacturing or production environment is often preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel. Familiarity with JobPack Production Scheduling system is a plus. Familiarity with Point.Man (MAPICS) MRP / ERP system is a plus. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

This is a Contract position based out of St. Charles, IL.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $33.00 / hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
