Job Title : Paralegal - II

Location : Herndon, VA

Duration : 06 Months On Contract

Familiar with Privacy regulation (CPNI; CCPA; ECPA) a plus

  • Technology Requirements (I.E Programs, systems, etc)
  • Microsoft Suite; OneNote; Planner; Excel
  • Review existing legal requirements and work with the business to document what we are currently doing to comply with those requirements.

Paralegal - Privacy

  • Inventory, monitor, and report on compliance obligations in coordination with subject matter experts.
  • Establish, monitor, and report on controls that help ensure compliance with key obligations, e.g., coordinating the creation and maintenance on policies.
  • Support Privacy and Regulatory certifications as needed.
  • Coordinate the Privacy Ambassadors program and foster business partnerships to develop and strengthen operational controls.
  • Cultivate strong partnerships with key business and Legal partners, and other Legal Compliance teams.
  • Develop and manage resources and tools designed to support compliance efforts, e.g., team document library and other knowledge management tools.
  • Core Competencies

  • Experience with privacy and security laws and best practices and network technology preferred; aptitude and interest in these areas preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related discipline or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2+ years of business system analysis and operations, risk management, compliance, or legal program management.
  • Knowledge of compliance best practices preferred.
  • Proven ability to balance multiple priorities, adapt to a constantly changing business strategies, work independently, drive projects to completion, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven experience working with subject matter experts to develop and implement viable solutions.
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to work with highly confidential and sensitive business information and to maintain confidentiality and / or privileged materials.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, multi-task, and manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
