About the Role

The Company is seeking a VP of Enterprise Risk Management to take on an executive role with a primary focus on the continuous improvement and administration of the enterprise risk management program. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting strategic initiatives, maintaining a culture of compliance, and providing an independent risk perspective to ensure that business decisions align with the company's risk appetite. This highly visible position requires a leader who can work effectively with executives and business line owners, and who is dedicated to the innovation, governance, and management of enterprise risks. The role also involves the development of risk management tools, practices, and policies, as well as ensuring that risk management strategies are in line with regulatory guidance.

Candidates for this role at the company should have a Bachelor's degree in a related discipline, with at least 15 years of progressively responsible experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Professional certifications in enterprise risk management, internal audit, and / or internal controls are a plus. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of risk frameworks and internal controls, excellent communication skills, and the ability to influence and lead a team of risk management professionals. Responsibilities include leading the risk governance structure, integrating risk considerations into business objectives, and fostering a risk-aware culture through training and education. The VP will also be involved in preparing risk reports for executive leadership, the Board of Directors, and regulatory agencies, and must ensure that the company remains compliant and resilient to emerging threats.
